030811 - Swissport UK appoints new Finance Director

Swissport UK part of Swissport International, the world’s leading provider of ground services to the aviation sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Priestley as the new Finance Director of its UK Business.
Richard joins Swissport UK from United Coffee, where he has been Finance Director for the UK & Ireland since May 2009, accountable for the strategic development, planning and leadership of its finance, IT and supply-chain functions. Prior to that, he spent nine years in senior UK finance roles at leading global freight forwarding and logistics group Kuehne + Nagel, including Financial Controller of the Automotive and Consumer Division, Senior Financial Controller of the FMCG and Food Division and then Finance Director of a £250m turnover joint venture with a major international drinks business.

Swissport International Ltd provides ground services for around 100 million passengers and 3.2 million tonnes of cargo a year (the latter using 98 warehouses with a total floor area of over 360,000 square metres) on behalf of some 650 client-companies in the aviation sector. With a workforce of around 35,000 personnel, Swissport is active at 180 stations in 36 countries on five continents, and generated consolidated operating revenue of CHF 1.7 billion in 2010.
